Membership Benefits
Because members are at the core of what we do, SSNS treats its membership like family, providing exclusive training, benefits and services.
We distribute frequent notices of upcoming events, timely information about injury issues and breaking news about anything that may affect the safety of members and their co-workers, family and friends. Members always stay up-to-date with health and safety news, trends and issues.

Membership Categories
SSNS offers two categories of membership tailored to the individual and important needs of the province’s workforce and residents. Both membership types offer exclusive perks, however only corporate membership provides a deep discount on training sessions.
Corporate – $500
- Guaranteed vote at annual general meeting
- Receives regular email communications
- Enjoys 25 per cent discount on OHS courses, audits and consulting and annual conference
- Receives for exclusive member services (Safe Driver Award, Certificate of Recognition, WHMIS & Forklift Train-the-Trainer)
- Charged no signup fees for Safe Driver Award or Certificate of Recognition; no annual administration fees for COR except external audit costs
Associate – $250
- Receives exclusive member services (Safe Driver Award, Certificate of Recognition, WHMIS & Forklift Train-the-Trainer)
- Charged no signup fees for DA, COR; no annual administration fees for COR except external audit costs
- Receives regular email communications
Safety Services Nova Scotia is a registered charity and does not charge HST.

SSNS is always willing to accept donations from people who want to see their community become safer and more cohesive in its wellness.
